Wegmans to launch digital coupons in June

ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Wegmans will soon begin to roll out digital coupons at select stores in the Rochester area.

The coupons will be made available to members of Wegmans Shoppers Club.

According to a Wegmans spokesperson, the grocery chain will pilot Wegmans Shoppers Club digital coupons in its Rochester-area and Lehigh Valley, Pa. stores starting in June.

Several other grocers and pharmacies in the Rochester area offer digital coupons, such as Tops Friendly Markets, CVS pharmacies and Walgreens pharmacies.

Wegmans shoppers can use a smart phone or desktop computer to 'clip' digital coupons directly to their Shoppers Club account.

The digital coupons will not replace Shoppers Club discounts.

Wegmans first piloted Shoppers Club digital coupons with employees in 2015 to ensure the program worked well before offering it to customers.

Wegmans hopes to roll out the program to all stores later this year.
